    WTB: Hood/trunk light

Misplaced my hood light and do not know if these are still NLA. I am told that both are the same. Please PM if you have a spare you are willing to part with (PayPal, check... ?). Or please post a link with a lead to a vendor. Thank you in advance. Roger

NYC Cars and Coffee -- May 20

Thanks, Jeff. I appreciate your effort; PM sent. For those who know Prospect Park, although it has a zero car policy, this event has been approved. Jeff has been involved in the planning and judging of some of the tri-state areas most tasteful and exclusive car shows, including the Americana...

FS: radiator for Automatic CS E9

Congrats on the sale, Ulrich. If anyone needs one stateside, pm me for pictures. I had it pressure tested, painted black and most importantly, whatever the term is (recored?) when a radiator is redone professionally. It came from a 1973 3.0csa. Thanks.

    Windscreen chrome trim installation

You should use blue tape or a comparable masking tape to hold the trim in place. A second (necessary) or third pair of hands makes the install easier and helps the trim to stay in the groove, i.e., lock the windscreen, as the chord is pulled and pressure is applied on the front of the glass on...

Daydreaming...color changeout from Atlantik (color car was built as)...

I think the colors with the pearl tend to do best on cars with aggressive hips and curves, as it promotes the scattering (or refraction) of light, i.e., as seen above by rear wheel fender in first and fourth images. I think the deeper colors, sans pearl, show a little better and richer on e9s...

    1973 Polaris CS

Ohmess, thank you. My first e9 was a stock 1970 2800cs. I drove that car to basketball games and my back resented me for it. I knew that I would never keep stock seats in an e9 again. How do you like the Koenig's on long distance drives? I'm hoping the support on/under the lower legs feel as...

    WTB. Blue Driver's Door Ashtray

Hi Harry, I have a pair or at least one. PM, email or call me with your address and timetable. I've just got to put my hands on it. Hope all is well and improving with your health.

    1973 Polaris CS

Hi John, the trim is from a Bavaria. I purchased them from someone on eBay so I'd assume the usual vendors. The chrome for the top of the arm pull does not fit. The wood must be cut to accommodate. As long as you have original armrests or the upholestry is fitted, it will fit (more than less)...

    1973 Polaris CS

Thank you Vince, Dan, and Markos... also to those who connected off line to congratulate or beat me up (Chuck) about the quality of the pictures (lol). It's cold and my balance sucks. When the Malaga is finally sorted, better pictures of both will be taken/shared. I'm going through the phone...

    1973 Polaris CS

Finally finished up one of the projects. Still some dialing in to do but finally one down. It only took 12 years, and the interiors and various parts occupying my house for 14 years but better late than never. Anyway, due to neurological concerns, easy and fun things became much harder or...

    Another Fan Conversion Thread

Try this tool for easier removal. Seems corny but was a life saver this past weekend when I installed and pulled the fan and pulley a few times. I tried to attach the link but it keeps resetting. Amazon seems to have it for the cheapest price; search for BMW 32mm Fan Clutch Water Pump Nut...

    Spacing of trunk letters/numbers

Good day, all. I recall a very detailed post on the spacing/positioning of the letters and numbers on the trunk lid, i.e., 3.0 cs/i, automatic badge. I saved a screen shot but cannot find it for anything using the forum's search feature, Google or in my photos. If anyone has the link readily...

    Best shop for upholstery?

I got the idea from Coupe King's site to reinforce and seam seal certain points in the cab then etch and Por 15. It's overkill but helps prevent against flex and rust, especially in the cavities. I would treat all the metal first before applying any type of bed liner. The inside of the doors and...

    Best shop for upholstery?

Scott hit the nail on the head but I have to add factoring the carpet underlay. I've had success using FatMat. It's a little thinner while blocking heat transfer and providing some sound deadening. When coupled with the carpet underlay, it has worked well for me but I've been doing my own...
