    Need 4 speed CS driveshaft

It's not a huge difference between the flanges, but with the different guibos, it's possible to get it wrong if not aware. I just thought I'd mention it to @boonies Photo credit goes to @sfdon

    Need 4 speed CS driveshaft

There's no guaranteed answer since there's three different output flanges on the 265's, all different length, and what type of guibo you choose to run also matters (different thickness). So you need to know these things before you decide on driveshaft length.

A report from the Silicon Valley Trenches

I know, and I have nothing but respect for you as a friend, member and a moderator. You happened to start that thread but it could've been anybody, that wasn't the point. The political nonsense started as soon as political talk was allowed in the thread, it got locked much much much later, and...

A report from the Silicon Valley Trenches

We were several that pointed this out when the political talk first got accepted in the covid thread, but it was okay then, so I don't understand what's different now? Can't have it both ways, or just when it suits someones personal political view. My point is, either there's no political talk...

A report from the Silicon Valley Trenches

Over here we're going to use hydrogen gas as storage for our wind power. When there's too much electricity created by the wind turbines, that electricity goes to producing hydrogen gas, and next day when it's not windy, the hydrogen gas will be used to produce electricity. This process has about...

Ideas please for the Chinese Spy Balloon

Yes, we're just watching it happen, but Turkey doesn't play that game ;) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Russian_Sukhoi_Su-24_shootdown

    E9 3.0 csi paperswork

But has it been registered in Belgium before? Then it should be a matter of digging for that information, and I don't think the police is the right place for that but maybe in Belgium? Over here we have a nationwide archive for this type of stuff, you just send them any clues you have and the...

    E9 3.0 csi paperswork

What happened to the original VIN stamped into your shell? If the police have checked it, it would mean that you still have a VIN stamped on your car, correct? What's the VIN? Was the car ever registered in Belgium before? If the original VIN is still on the shell and hasn't been tampered with...

Is this an Limited Slip Differential

There are also diffs that looks exactly like the one Ian C posted, but have S0 stamped into the case. These use the LSD case, but it's an open diff (non LSD). My CSI 3.25 is one of these, and the output flanges turn the same way when one is rotated, but it's not an LSD for sure. It's a bit...

NLA Eearly Motorsport CSL Italvolanti 38cm (375mm) with early 522 long hub

I bought this wheel from Wladek, and exactly as the previous times I've bought something or had him do special stuff for me, it's always a pleasure. Even though this wheel came with the CSL length hub, I wanted it even closer towards me, so I asked if he could make me a custom 14mm spacer and he...

Alan, please just go for a running, stock B35 and be done with it, don't go down the same rabbit hole you just crawled out of.

    Maximum Wheel Widths

Yes, that's his specs for the 18" BBS he ran first, and the 18" HRE's he ran later. No, but Mike's e9 (when sitting on the 18" BBS wheels) was what made me determined to find and buy an e9. So when I finally found my project coupe the goal was definitey to go very low and with big wheels, but...

    Garage Slab: Rebar, Mesh, Nothing?

I don't like cracks in concrete floors, so I'd put down some rebar, or anything to make it less likely to crack. The fibreglass rebar sounds like a good alternative if it's cheaper than steel. I just did a floor in our new storage room, and even thou it wont see more loads than our bikes and...

    E9 body weight

My shell was quite easy to lift and move around, so my guess would be that an empty shell can't be much more than 300 - 350kg.

FS: Euro Hella/BMW H1 low beam lamp

I run Bosch H1 lamps on my coupe, and they work just as they should. The main thing is that they do not give that menacing very dark look on the low beam lamp when turned off as the Hellas do, and I think that's something to take into consideration, at least I've been thinking of replacing the...

Looking for project car for restoration

I bought my basket case e9 when I was 23, it was the first e9 I had ever seen in real life, so I had no coupe-specific knowledge, and I didn't have any real experience in restoring a car. 5 years later I got it back on the road. So it is possible if you really want to, but it's very expensive...

    Which floor jack to purchase?

I have a Bacho 11500, long reach and very low (7cm / 2,75"). For its big size and weight it's not lifting that much (1,5ton) but I rarely lift tractors or semi trucks :D It's wonderful on a flat concrete floor, and you can get it under almost any car, and reach diffs / subframes and other hard...

Not that I've ever thought about it before now, but my -71 CSi has a collapsible shaft. Bad pic, but it's there.
