    Ethanol in gas?

Many of the 'tuned' turbo cars over here run E85 to get the last horsepower out of the system, I think it's common in the US as well. https://borowskirace.com/blogs/news/pump-gas-or-e85-for-boosted-street-engines

    Ethanol in gas?

We've had 95E10 and 98E5 since 2011 in Finland, and they're the only options you'll find at a regular gas station. It was a huge deal when the E10 was rolled out, because everyone believed it to destroy everything in your fuel system, especially on older cars. But truth be told, I haven't heard...

    DIY - Chassis reinforcement ideas

This is a Swedish e24, so not exactly an e9. But it might give some inspiration. The owner says it did a pretty big difference.

    Nose is too high

We have the same thing happening on our 3.0. Hoped we would find something when we replaced the shocks but the springs are identical and with the new bilsteins the driver side rear is around 3/4" or almost 2cm lower than the other side.

ZF 4HP22 should fit in the tunnel. He wants the e28/e23 one that uses a kickdown wire, the newer 4HP22 are electrical, and don't have a wire.

    My 1974 Inka S38B35 project

Open the vent on top and have a look inside, if it looks like the first attached picture it's likely an LSD. With a little struggle you can actually read what the housing is stamped with through the vent hole. Check second attached picture to see what you're looking for. There are LSD...

    WTB: Petri steering wheel spacer?

Okay, I was thinking more like a spacer that you bolt to the hub, which in turn has the same threaded hole pattern offset to bolt the wheel to. That way you wouldn't need to modify the hub which is a big plus, but the spacer needs some very specific cut outs at the hub end, to fit over the hub...

    WTB: Petri steering wheel spacer?

Keshav, Yeah, the CSL is only about 1cm longer if I remember correctly? I'm aware that the spacer will be fully visible and not under the cover, but that's a compromise I'm willing to take, and I'm sure it could look acceptable with some textured paint to make it look something close to the hub...

    WTB: Petri steering wheel spacer?

Hi guys, I'm using a Petri 38 + stock CS/CSi Petri hub in my coupe. I also run Scheels with a straight adaptor plate, and this means the seat is tilted a little bit backwards, which is great for supporting my long legs. The problem with sitting tilted backwards, is that my arms aren't quite...

    '72 Atlantik 3.0S

Otherwise we've just been enjoying the car as much as possible when time allows, between maintenance and upgrades. We've installed new Bilsteins, refreshed most of the brake system, replaced some steering linkage, installed a pertonix, played around with the Zeniths, replaced some gaskets here...

Ulrich, We had of course planned on flushing the ATF fluid anyway, but reading about your success we started the process straight away. What came out of our BW was nasty! It wasn't burnt, but it had been there for ages I suppose, no particles in the filter. We flushed the gearbox a total of 4...

Richard, FB is perfect if you want very positive comments that doesn't mean anything at all. It's a great place for dreamers! :) The biggest problem is of course the way you present your car, don't you see that? It's not the car itself that's the problem here. There are all kinds of coupes for...

Richard, I wished you good luck, pointed out that it isn't a #2 car as can be seen on your photos, and asked a question (to which I didn't get an answer) :) If you want to see and hear about my cars, just click the links in my signature. They are both #3 cars.

    1973

Good luck Richard, but please don't pretend that your car is anywhere near a #2 car, the flaws are many and easily seen, even on photos. Why is there spray (and overspray) all over the engine compartment, and the rest of the car?

    Rear wheel spacers

As @teahead already wrote above, there's no need, and you can't even fit such a thin spacer with a centering ring, since the stock hub centering lip is about 12mm.
