BMW's only interest in the E9 is to display a poster of it in the dealer showrooms. I agree with Ohmess' sentiments that it will be up to the community to maintain inventories of legacy parts. BMW can't be relied on for that.

The stock seats are solely kept for investment purposes. That's the only comfort that they provide.

It does look likeone of the nuts that holds the individual gauges and clock to the gauge assembly. I hope that it's an extra, because if it's missing your clock might fall into the "abyss" when you go over a bump.

Apparently, nor do most E9 clocks care either. :) Beautiful job on that gauge. Was the conversion price reasonable (by E9 standards)? Matching the lettering with those press-on letter kits is the main challenge for me at least.

It looks like a stock E9 temperature gauge custom-converted to an oil pressure/ voltmeter combo. It's really a beautiful and seamless conversion. I have a 2nd temp gauge that I'm in the process of working on in a similar fashion.

I'm confused. Didn't 1972 2002s have round tail lights. I had a 72 Malaga 2002 and a 72 Polaris 2002tii and they both had round tail lights. Is this car a Euro build of some sort?
