teahead,

I have one that was in the car I bought last May. I removed it for another radio I prefer. It had been in the car a few years, (and the car was rarely used). It worked fine, just wanted another 'look'.

I'll sell it for half what a new one costs plus $12 for shipping (cost more than that, but I'll absorb the Xtra). I'll have to look up the price if you are interseted.

Sure, send me a picture via PM.

It's a Model 2?

I have a Model 2 in mine and it was easy to install with no drilling and/or cursing. It's not for the E9 purist, but with the right faceplate and knobs, it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. The sound quality, the USB and the Bluetooth capabilities make up for the anachronistic digital display.

ya, not looking for purity; just something where I don't have to cut up the dash plate while having aux and BT capability.

Cool! Good to hear.

I have one in my Datsun. They are easy to install. They do have issues with amps though, I get engine noise and it drives me crazy (it's probably some ground loop problem). Otherwise the bluetooth is nice. I might end up putting it in the 3.0cs as I have an 80's cassette player. No amp though.

Just put the same unit in my 70 2800, I have some Fosgate speakers on the rear deck (due to PO) and the sound is pretty good. I'll be testing it with my iPod later this weekend. I think the look is "unremarkable" which is what I wanted. The cool thing is that it is small and fits with no problem in the A/C panel. Installation took a couple of hours, maybe 3, and I did have some help. My original radio did not function :-(
