From looking at that photo album, I'd say that if you want to do a top notch job of restoring that car, you are going to have to pay some big bucks for the restoration. I'm just southwest of Albany, NY and I have a 1972 3.0CS which I restored from the bare metal up, including a rebuilt engine...

I want to say that mine looks great. Eric even used some leftover tan leather from my old seat backs and covered the console top with it.
I recommend him highly.
I got mine back and Eric even took some leftover tan leather from my original front seat backs and covered the top of the console with it. it looks great.
I installed a model 2 in my 1972 CS. The installation is easy (compared to other things on e9s) and the look is close to the OEM Becker. Sound quality is very good and both the Bluetooth and USB connections work with both our iOS and Android phones.
This thread reminds me of the story about the guy at the old Fulton Fish Market in NYC. He puts up a sign reading "Fresh Fish for Sale". An old lady comes by and says to him, "My word. Why does your sign say fresh? Of course they are fresh, would you be selling smelly, old fish?" So the guy...
Thanks everyone for their comments. I started off with "best offer", but then I received a complaint that I didn't list a price. So I made up a price. Honestly, I wasn't trying to make a buck on these. I was just trying to find them a good home. In the past, I've sold leftover parts for just...
First of all, it's not an auction. It was a request for "best offer". Given their age, I thought that it would be better to not post a price, but considering someone else has a similar set listed on here for $300, I'll say $300 or best offer.
I will post photos if anyone is interested.
Today I was cleaning out a storage shed on my property and I discovered the original Zenith carbs from my 1972 CS USA. They were replaced probably 20 years ago with Weber DGAVs and I was surprised that I still had the Zeniths . I can't vouch for their condition given the time that they have...
Now that's a difficult post to follow ...
The usual "suspects" have all been mentioned, but if all else fails, look for air leaks, either at the manifold gaskets or the myriad of hoses that either are still attached to something correctly or plugged with little spare screws and other bits of...
I'm in on the group buy.
And after all that work cutting down a 633i console from eBay and "reupholstering" it with leather left over from the backs of my old seats.
Do you still have the accelerator pedal? What is the price including shipping to 12186?
Mine cracked several years ago and I bought a new one from BMW, but it is not the same as the original. The mounting to the floor pan is different. Thanks.

I have two "parts seats" from a 72 3.0 CS USA, but I'm not exactly sure what you are pointing to in the photo and how hard it will be to disassemble the seats just to pull those parts out. I'll take a look at the seats later when I get home from work.
