I read some reviews of installing the entire assembly, but there were leveling problems for the closed hood. I think my solution might be to install an old fashion prop rod. I did see a solution for a 2002. The owner installed 2 stabilus gas struts on each side.

Thanks for the lead. My car is parked off site, so I can't look at it immediately to see how the tube is connected at each end to the hinges. Is it possible to just replace the torsion springs that are inside that tube, or does that involve cutting to remove the tube & then welding it back...
After 46 years they no longer hold the hood up. Looking for the fix. Is there a spring in that long hollow bar that goes across the front of the engine bay? Need advice. Thanks.
At a recent show in the high 80's degree heat, it began to rain. I got out a disposable clear plastic cover. Took it off when the rain stopped. When I got home & garaged the car, I noticed splotches in the paint. I think something in the cover may have leached into the paint even tho it had been...
I looked at this car maybe about 10 years ago when I was on a search for an e9. It was outside Philadelphia. It was beautiful, but I just did not like the Riviera Blue. I think he was asking $30k at the time. He also did an Inka 2002.
