Wladek, that seal you are showing is the seal I replace a couple years ago. It is not leaking there. It is leaking through the center where those splines are. This is where the pinion shaft connects to the flange and is held in place with the nut. Somehow the gear lube is getting past the...
If there is no nut in the E12 era, how does the preload in the pinion bearings get established? We may be talking about two different things. I am talking about the input drive flange that connects to the drive shaft. It looks like I was not clear on that.
I replaced the differential drive flange seal about 2 years ago and it is still working well. However, I have discovered there is a leak coming out of the center of the drive flange where the nut is.
I have studied the Blue Book extensively and can find no reference of a seal for the collar...
When I moved to California in 69 I rode a friends dirt bikes a few times. He had a Bultaco and a couple Suzuki's. After a few times out I realized I was over riding my abilities and was going to kill myself. I stopped riding motorcycles after that with the exception of one ride on an Indian...
If you want some really exciting views you can take Black Bear over the mountain from Ouray to Telluride. That does require an off-road vehicle with a skilled driver. Not recommended for anyone with a fear of height.

I had a 73 Pinto Wagon back then. It had the 2L engine with a four spd. It didn't have great power but that didn't keep me from driving it hard. My wife and I used to camp all over the country in it. I even tried to go off-road in it once in Death Valley. I realized very quick, it was too...
I am probably aware of all the CM5804 radios available online including that one. Unfortunately, it is in Oregon, does not work and looks in pretty bad condition. I actually found one in SoCal but it sold before I could get a look at it. There is one in Colorado that looks to be in excellent...
