My '79 635CSi came with TRX tires but I didn't keep it long enough to get in trouble. My '83 533i came with TRX tires that didn't grip worth sh*t in the wet. Thankfully I sold it before the tires got more bald and the crank position sensor went on vacation. I wouldn't have known what to do...

bmw e9 or in this case e12 m30b35 swap coolant routing

Don, what's unique about the 533i setup? Curious since I have a B35 swap (out of an '89 635CSi) in my E12 and for instance when I had to replace the lower rad hose it took a while to figure out what would work since I had no idea what part was in there. My upper rad hose setup is different from...

WTS Getrag 265/5 CR (Dogleg) (SOLD)

...home improvement project so my 265/5 swap into my Pagoda is a casualty. I purchased this unit from user buddha here -- it came from a '79 Euro 635CSi that was wrecked. It has not been tested, just sitting around since I bought it. I paid $3k for it but I'm not sure what these go for these...

Engine rebuild and engine bay resto thread - 2240284 '72 CS

...week, I picked up that set of CN36s my TVR buddy offered to you. They have lots of tread left, but as you know are getting old. They will be going on the 635csi project car. He replaced them with new ones from Longstone, so the batch he tapped into must have sold quickly. I vote Satin Clear.

    possible failing alternator advice

And another thought, since my long block is from a Euro 1984 635CSi, the Bosch AL46X seems to be the direct replacementa and there are more of those available...

Engine & transmission combination for responsiveness

...makes for quicker acceleration ... but no 5th gear overdrive. these boxes have become very expensive and hard to find. primarily in euro 635csi. these are usually used with a 3.25:1 or 3.46:1 diff. if you want to change the acceleration with the overdrive box - change the gearing in the...

Best budget engine + trans swap for E9? M30B35 and Getrag 260? Years?

I have an E12 with a M30B35 and five-speed swap - the whole thing came out of an '89 635CSi and I'm guessing the trans is a 265/6 but I'm not familiar enough with the flavors of 265s to know, though I am pretty sure it's a 265 (separate bell housing.) Diff is stock E12 LSD - earlier I was trying...

    NOS AMC Cylinder head value?

...can a properly designed Dome compensate for the loss in compression ratio? Do I need another Camshaft? Wallothnesch.com also list a head for 635CSi (up to 5/82) (11121278495). Does this head fit the early M30? These issues have probably been disscussed at length on this forum, but I'm...

FS Front part of the head liner

...Americans have a very difficult time with the German “PFs”. Last name Pfaff, plus my career as an airline pilot equals pflyer. My ‘78 euro 635csi had the license plate pfast. In’83, I modified the engine to where it had well over 300hp, hence the plate. Is the front non-sunroof headliner...

Original barely used FPS alloy 14x6 wheels

...e9 FPS alloy 14x6 wheels with chrome hub caps. Come with 4 free vintage tires. These have been in storage for 30+ years and look great for there age. I'm located in the SF Bay area and would prefer local pickup. I would like to get $1200 for them or possibly trade for 2002 or 635csi parts.

    Intro / E12 parts questions

...BMW used the same bushing geometry for ages? I don’t know, so here I am. Car is a ‘78 530i with an M30B35/Getrag 260/LSD swap from an ‘89 635CSi. In particular what I’d like to know about are front control arm bushings (or the control arm itself), rear trailing arm bushings, rear subframe...
