    missing rubbers

Same thinking on my side; these are what germans call "Keder" if I'm right. Door welts in English? The door welts were discussed here as well, with few pics: Thread 'interior welts around door + side panels' https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/interior-welts-around-door-side-panels.20348/

    Golf csi on BAT

Yeah yeah. I spotted the missing welts, roundels on the vent window knobs, 1970 seats, black wipers, missing rivets on the Karman tag, touch up paint on the doors, wrong bolts in the upper door hinge, missing white caps in the doors/rear wells, wrong bolts on the HL panels. Yes we could go on...

    Installing front door welts

Thanks Mark. Yeah the welts look much thinner in your decon thread photo. I purchased the 8mm ones from cs-werke which are supposedly for this application but even those look too thick. If you had to take a SWAG at it, how thick would you say your welts are? Thanks again.

    Installing front door welts

Yes, the door welts aren’t as fat either. I have pics of the door welts in the decon thread. May have the body welts also.

    Installing front door welts

The metal trims and their welts mount to the body, not the door. The door has simple welts only.

    Installing front door welts

I must be spatially challenged because I can’t seem to figure out which door welt goes where and how. As I understand it, the welts are supposed to PEEK OUT from the door card... but given the way I have laid these out in the attached photo, which is the only way to get metal trims to follow...

removal / install of the rear window regulator and upper trim?

Can someone post photos of removal / install of the rear window regulator and upper trim? deQuincey had an entire thread, but the photos are ruined by photo bucket what are all the holes along the vertical edges of the regulator for? I assume the install order is, the window regulator, the...

    trim on trim on trim

thanks, I worked on the lower rubber molding and vinyl welts and it makes sense now but so many parts I made a mistake, I put quite a bit of effort getting the ends of the dash wood close to the sheet metal, unfortunately there isn't room to get much of the vinyl behind there now New question...

    Front door welts

I purchased the inner tubing for the front door welts from CS Werke. https://www.cs-werk.de/cs-werk-bonn-onlineshop/shop/nachfertigungen-fuer-bmw-e9/53_1_bmw_e9_keder_set/ I’ve received them and now had the opportunity to compare them to welts on another coupe. They look much thicker than the...

...my data points to two. Both cars were poorly maintained so more info from others is helpful. This is car #2 with tiny screws holding the door welts on. I also don’t think that any of the welts have actual plastic piping inside them. I’ve mentioned it before but they would be easy to make...

    Cording around door panels. Called?

Hey Gary -- what are you using for fasteners to hold the door cards to the doors? I ask because I don't have these welts, primarily because I could barely get the door cards reinstalled without them and they appear to add even more thickness. If I could find better fasteners, I would...
