I would take a look in the fuel tank. Sometimes stirring up rust will temporarily clog things up (like your filter) and then clear up when everything settles.

I would be prepared to replace the oil pump after measuring the old one and also secure the oil pump sprocket properly and tension the chain (with shims, I think).
There were some years (pre 85) when the M30 bell housing Getrag 260 transmissions were weak. Be aware of that issue and try to get a 1986+ unit if there is a problem.
