There is the usual '020202' gathering in Seattle on Feb 7 coming up -
When we started this in 2002 - we, at first, thought it was kind of a novelty having a get-to-gether for these cars on their namesake date.
Well, 24 years later - here we are again... LOL

As it turns out, I have a conflict that morning - otherwise I'd go...
The weather looks to not be totally ugly - but not super nice either. If I were to go = I'd be taking the E23.

24th Annual 020202 Show and Swap Event
Saturday, February 7, 2026
10am to 2pm
Don Armeni Boat Ramp, West Seattle
1222 Harbor Ave SW
Seattle, WA 98116

Will miss you Kevin, I’m coming up in my e28 most likely. We should have a group of cars from PDX.
My wife warned me I’d miss my 2002, she was right.

Yeah - I goofed when I accepted something on this day... I had it in my head that 0202 was closer to 0202 than 0207... LOL I had it in my head that it was yesterday- oh well.
And yep - I have not sold that many cars... Two Mercedes W126's, a first gen S-10 P/U, first gen Explorer, E38, Yukon... and the 2002.
I miss both the Mercedes', but I really wish I had never let the 2002 go. It would be 43 years with me now if I still had it.

I may or may not swing by pending weather and a previous commitment. All of my "Fun" cars are in various states of disassembled at the moment, so I'd probably just park my truck out and away and meander over to check out whatever shows up.

Would love to attend, but unfortunately cannot make it as I'll be coming home from a biz trip that day.

Will anyone up be up for a lunch, small rally, and a beer+parts swap meet second weekend in July? Thinking around the Woodinville, WA area.
Ill post separately to gauge interest levels

That would be fun. I have some activities that will likely take me to California in July, but if I am here - would be great....

I'm just up the hill in Kirkland/Kingsgate and would be down for a quick jaunt to Woodinville.

I'm going to be suffering through a 5-day bike ride in the hills outside Bend, OR, from July 8-12 but would gladly join at any other time during July. Hoping that I am back in a drivable vehicle by then

Not hard set on early July. We can pick a date that maximizes the attendance. Good luck with the ride, that sounds grueling.

Yes it rained. We lasted until 11:00am. Most of us got to dry off at Midnight Motorsport. Owner Patrick is well known in the 2002 community. He had a couple e9’s in his shop.
Next year will be the 25th anniversary. We’re looking for a larger indoor space at least for people to hang out in. If anyone knows of a suitable space let me know.

Props to you all! Looks like it was a blast even with the rain and well attended.

I love those little 2002 converted shop trucks, always fun. Most people probably hate it but I'm sure there was a good reason for the conversion. Great to see a Golf '02 and I thought I liked stickers, that Inka sure has enough to go around. Do you guys know, are those Borrani Alpinas on it? Some have the round holes, some more triangular, but these look different...

The Inka 02 belongs to event organizer James Tee. Midnight Motorsport did the build. Those are 15” VW Corrado steelies. It’s a beautiful car.
