That trim piece fell off my driver's side at a car show Saturday. It took a lot of pressure to squeeze it back on the rear quarter window. I would not like to use glue to secure it unless it falls off again. Notice in your pic that your passenger window is missing the chrome strip on the top of the glass.
you know i have put new rubber and a new chrome piece on my car a while back ... it is a PITA to get on correctly and your fingers will hurt afterward trying to get the insert into the groove on the chrome trim. what i found was that once you put the rubber on, then inserted the chrome trim on top of it and then inserted the insert into the groove ... i then tapped the trim further onto the rubber with a rubber mallet. that closed the groove slightly and it forced everything onto the glass better
Sikaflex®-221 is a multi-purpose 1-component polyurethane adhesive / sealant that bonds well to a wide variety of substrates like metals, metal primers and paint coatings (2-component systems), ceramic materials and plastics. It is suitable for making permanent elastic seals.
Well I worked on the trim piece, I took the rubber off and reinstalled it. I noticed the chrome part needed to be squeezed in a bit. Doing that I reinstalled the trim and all is good.
Thanks for the help guys
