So noticed many csl cars only have driver side mirror. Some have both driver and passenger. Was this options available with orders or changes people have made over the years.

I'm in the uk so is there any legal reasons to need both?

I've put flag mirrors on both sides of several bimmers, back in the days when they were more readily available and inexpensive. It's good to have the opposite (from driver) mirror in tight situations, and in traffic, although the unimpeded greenhouse of the CS allows a pretty good look-around already.

i personally like 2 mirrors. all of my pre '80 bmws (6) in the past have only had the drivers side. i always wanted to put one on the other side, and i will put one on the coupe.

I always thought “ cheap buggers”, for that kind of money, you could have at least included both mirrors.

If you live in eastern Canada you can’t even drive it for at least 6 months of the year. The only time mine ever gets wet is when I wash it:)
