1966 BMW 2000c Project with Parts Hoard of Rare Parts

My 6 year long 2000c project is up for auction on Bring a Trailer. I rebuilt pretty much the entire chassis to include rockers and floors. Looking on the pictures it was an enormous work to make the car looks like today from the condition you've started with:

New owner will have a grate base to finish the project even in few months.

Great that this car has been saved. Most of 2000cs even in better shape have been scrapped (and still are).

Judging from the BAT pictures later on with both cars on the trailer, I think that this is the parts car....(the one in green is the one in primer), BUT, James has still done an great job with the car so far..He's good folks, and obviously poured a lot of blood, sweat, and now tears into the project. Wish I was ten years younger; this is quite a package.

The project car has everything for reassembly. Beyond that here is a list of extras:

• 3.0cs doors, perfect condition (need flaking paint removed)
• Headlights, euro “cat’s eye” style, perfect condition and complete.
• Headlights, euro “cat’s eye” style, partially complete, very good condition (missing lenses and light bulbs with hardware)
• Headlights, euro “cat’s eye” style, partially complete, average condition (missing lenses and light bulbs with hardware)

• Headlight euro style glass lenses, brand new from Germany, both right side (still in boxes)

• Pair of Talbot Berlin type 300 Senior mirrors, left and right side, new original stock, still in boxes, perfect condition

• Rear bumper on parts car needs polishing, good condition

• Two drive shafts (one configured for a 5 speed conversions)

Parts car includes:

• Intact airbox (with a new 2000cs emblem)
• Wood dash and trim in good condition but with some delamination
• Complete steering wheel to include center wood section and intact horn ring
• Center console good condition and complete to include original radio
• Belt trim complete, good condition (embossed nose and wing pieces in good condition and will packaged with project car)
• Bumpers, complete, good condition, need polishing
• Doors trim interior with electric windows with motors complete with all trim, hardware, ashtrays, handles and chrome, good condition but need cleaning, some chrome degradation.
• Electric window motors front and back with switches.
• Glass to include windshield, driver, and passenger side windows in good condition. Missing rear greenhouse window, and driver side quarter window (included separately with auction)
• Doors, hood, roof, and trunk lid with some rust but salvageable Body is absolutely shot.

That airbox emblem is simply unobtanium... They are so delicate and easy to bend and damage.

Seat headrests... didn't even know that was an option back then. Mine has none so I tell people I will die like Dale Earnhardt... What's the bumper sticker for vintage cars? "No airbags, we die like men"

That is interesting... they just slip onto the seat back.

Do you still have the following parts ?
1 ; Euro headlight trim.
2 : Passenger and driver's door manual window regulator.
3 : Right and left Vent Window mechanism.
4 : Any damaged wood pieces that I can use to remake them.
