Price-I'll accept the first reasonable offer as I need to move the car

I'm looking to sell my 1967 BMW 2000C “project”. I’ll try to keep the explanation short. I purchased the car online in 2013 from a seller in the Northwest with the intent to restore the car. When I was ready to restore the car, I turned the car over to a restorer (introduced through a “friend”) who disassembled the vehicle to get it prepped for the body work/paint and sent the engine/transmission to LaJolla BMW (in So Cal) to get them professionally rebuilt (which they were-at a cost of $6886 -in Nov 2015-unfortunately I can not find the receipts-I'm still looking and will post if I can find them or get another copy), and then....nothing. The guy held my disassembled car at his garage for over 2 years making excuse after excuse until I finally got all the parts and body out of there and into my garage/storage trailer where they have now occupied space for about 7 years.
I’m not mechanical, not in the same financial position as I was, and not as passionate about the car as I was a few years ago. It’s time for this 1967 BMW 2000C to go to someone who will do something with this car as it’s a shame for a rare car such as this to be gathering dust. Below I have pics of the car when I got it and the car in present condition. I’m open to all offers on the car, just please keep in mind that besides the cost of the actual car, I have 7 grand in the engine and transmission. When the car was taken apart it was already missing metal trim around the two side windows and 1-2 hubcaps as well as a few knobs in the interior so it should pretty much be all there though I have done (nor would I know how to) inventory what I currently have. This car is physically located in North San Diego County, California. Also I have Washington Title in hand. Car has not been registered in California.

Please email me any offers or questions that I do the best I can to answer.
Thanks,
Robert

These last 10 pics of the car fully assembled was how the car looked when it was being taken from my house to the shop to be disassembled and restored. Obviously the restored part never happened and now this project is available for anyone who wants to take it on.

I would say that is a good start on a vintage race car, or sell the Carl Nelson engine and put a supercharged M42 in there…lots of possibilities other than the hard/expensive task of making a nice original street car. Wish I was closer, I hauled one back to NC from Vegas just a few years ago and married now so no chance….I am putting that body on an e30 iC as it was a rusty pile.

Maybe there is a current coupe owner out there that wants one to play with and make something custom? Good luck with the sale.

I used to live in Vista, bet you are close to there.

Thanks for the reply to my post. I agree that there is a lot of possibilities besides restoring to original. Yep, I'm in Vista as well. I always thought this would was a cool look for these 2000c cars
