Question... was the dash wood supposed to be glossy?
....and who can pick out the oddity in picture 132 ? :)
Too bad they removed the Talbot mirror off the fender, but...
Hi all. I'm working on getting the M10 in my 2000CS running smoothly, but I've never really played with side-draft carbs before so I'm having a tough time. I'm running the stock Solex 40PHH carbs that came on the car. No matter what I do I can't seem to get all the cylinders running at the same...
NMNA - looks like the interior is out of the car, but could be a solid car?

Parked behind a Ghia... I guess he like Karmann cars? :D

That's a lot of dough for an early car, though it looks like a nice car. Interesting additions... red leather inserts, CSL chrome fender lips, BBS wheels...
Gents,
My painter is concerned how much the roof of the '67 2000CS flexes. The early CS does not have the ribs found on the later cars (not sure if those actually provide support to the roof?) I'm looking for advice how best to add support to the roof. Instead of ribs/bows, the headliner on...
Hello all,
I am a new member. I have a 1966 BMW 2000cs that I've been slowly improving over the past several years. Runs great, mechanically sound. But now it is finally time for me to put some money at it.
My current objective is to install new suspension, brakes, wheels, and tires...

It's rusty, but he's honest about it. Rockers are likely "vacuum removable" hahahahaha... 100 points to Griffndor.

Check his other item... so cool
Gents,
In disassembling the 2000CS I realized that I am missing the door sill trim on both sides. W&N sells them... but that's another $400-500 I'd rather not dump.
Does anyone have a good set?
I'm speaking of the trim that lays directly on top of the rocker, not the inner trim over the...
Same one that's been on/off CL for some time. Nevada plates... if it was kept in the desert for a long time like mine, I'd bet it's a pretty good candidate... wonder what the owner is expecting for it? Sure does seem unmolested...just neglected, poor thing...
Here's yet another 2000CS.... needs a lot of love, but if not too rusty, could be a good start for a resto.

Today is 1/2 century for the 2000CS.... what a great car :)
From BMW Archives in Munich:
Thank you for your email.
The BMW 2000 CS VIN 1107357 was manufactured on May 23rd, 1967 and delivered on May 30th, 1967 to the BMW dealer Will in Worms. The original colour was Granada, paint code 023...
Can someone please give me some detailed measurements on where the Talbot sits on the front driver's fender of a 2000CS ? I received a good one from Germany and would like to install it. Two holes are drilled for the attachment hardware.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Hello all. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is James Laray from Northern Virginia (USA) and I am restoring a 66 2000 c. This is going to be a "ground up/frame off" resto on a rotisserie. I was a member of the forum from 1997 - 2002 at which time I owned a 2800cs (which I regrettably...
Not mine, no affiliation
Two cars, one primered, one for parts..

Would take a lot to bring the one back, depending on how many parts are included.
