Has anyone rebuilt their slave cylinder? I'd like to get a kit but it looks like they're only in Germany and Europe. Any ideas? $200 for a new one for $3 worth of parts...

Mike was kind enough to personally deliver a good seal and after cleaning up the bore I have it on the car and it's working fine, for now. I didn't have any luck finding an ATE part online, but I didn't try to source it through any particular supplier.Dang -- that picture you posted has an ATE part number on it. I don't recall precisely how I did it, but during the period of time when BMW had the ATE brake booster check valve listed as a European part in their system and refused to sell one to me (even though they had 54 in inventory in the US), I cross referenced the check valve to other marques (MB, Saab and Jaguar all used that check valve).
