Victor and I grabbed a few parts off a 1970 Coupe at standard auto wreckers last week. One thing that has me curious is that the door handles on this particular car were different from mine (1971 model) They had a continuation of the beltline trim going right on top of the handle. Is this a 1970 and earlier trait on all Coupes? I didn't Didn't grab these parts, but if they are very rare, it would be a shame to leave them to the crusher.

Bob,

I think all coupes have this feature, if you mean the belt trim shape is part of the handle with the lower part being recessed a bit. Mine is certainly this way. The early parts book also confirms only one part number per side for all models with no superseded part numbers. It is possible that the 2000C was different as its part number is not the same as the e9.

Must get checked for mental slippage. I was pretty sure my door handles were different till I actually looked at them....with my glasses.

They are the same. I did learn something. There are some stupid questions.
