Nice Alpina steering wheel that looks like a 35cm 2002 style

Verona over black looks great. Yeah, that steering wheel is to small. 101st 2800csa produced. Looks like rear floors have been patched and a fair amount of under coating applied.

Terrible floors, VIN plate moved, smooth as butter fender tops, missing door trim, and much more. And a b34, yawn, not a good time to be selling a coupe.

It’s hard to say but honestly in some of the pics that paint looks a bit dark for Verona. I’ll keep that off BaT given how much lighting affects things, and a color change doesn’t matter. The 2800CS only came in Granada, as seen by the “23” paint code in the listing.

I’ve owned a Grenada 1600 and a Verona e3 in the past. Both nice colors. I can only tell the difference between Grenada and Verona when they’re side by side. Not as obvious as say Colorado vs Inka. ;)

In photo 54 can you explain the misalignment in the door height to body height difference.
Is it a adjustment issue or a hinge support problem?

We all know what the - most likely - answer is, don’t we ?
but who will speak up ? ;)

I don’t. What is the most likely answer?
I do not really like to be the messenger of bad news but it is a common E9 issue
as the doors are HEAVY and open in a wide angle. Also could the problem
perhaps be solved to some extend by adjustment.
However, I expect and it is not unlikely that the problem sits in the A-pillar.

Ahh okay you sound a bit less certain that your previous post. I thought that perhaps I was missing some well known insight.

I posted a question on the subject years ago and got mixed responses. I can say that my a-pillar is just fine, at least where the hinges mount.

Verona / Granada

I’m not sure what to make of the thread linked above. Lots of fun banter but not much insight on the two paint colors.

I’ve lost my drive for academic e9 deep dives. :D The color differences of the two reds are well highlighted in the paint FAQ. @zinz has the best Granada paint on the forum.

Thanks! It is Glasurit 023, single stage.

I have plenty of pictures of my car from other people’s phones... sometimes they seem brighter red than Granada. I’ve also heard that Glasurit will oxidize darker with age.

Wrt the door alignment; it could be that the A pillar is bad, but it could also be that the door isn't well adjusted. Afterall the doors have been off during repaint.
The door can be set higher, the hinges allow it, but the current panel gaps front and backside of the door now look to be near perfect. If you lift the door, these nice lines will change (a bit?).

pic # 196 shows an added radiator shroud. Does anyone know a part # ?
My guess it’s e28 or e24 since that’s where the engine and transmission were sourced from. Likely used the shroud from a donor car. The e12 I sourced my 5 speed from had one but I was unable to use it on e9 radiator

Sold for $61K. Seems right in the current market.

@zinz Man, the 2000 just keeps growing more and more on me. Such a happy and Jetsonian car. Cool wheels.

Never imagined it would appear to be similar dimensionally to the Z8.
