Some parts are a little rough but I at least appreciate the relatively thorough description. Would be nice to have some more underside photos. I also wonder whether some of the design choices (Australian lacewood trim “upgrade”?) were decisions from the 90s that have just aged poorly. Regardless, could potentially be an option for those who are looking for a car that isn’t completely rusted out but has enough issues to keep the price lower. A lot of extra spare parts to get some of those projects started…

This example has a lot going for it. With some basic fixes this could be a really nice driver.
I agree. I think @Bmwnyguy should take a good hard look a this car. Solid bones, some fixes needed by a handy man with a wrench. Seems to check all his boxes!

Yes looking into this one just saw one today the eBay one in Chicago it basically had bunch of rust and horrible paint job with bondo repair and engine not even turning over frozen with very burner oil. From pictures thought it was in better shape but it’s pretty much toast engine not working a lot rust bad paint job plus a lot weird rust on bottoms of car almost looks like it was in little flood

Agree that this one looks like a solid lead. I think you had said in previous thread you thought it would go too high. Set a max budget and go for it!

I've been in contact with the seller (JJ) and will be bidding on this car. Although it hasn't been that long, I'm eager to be a card carrying E9 forum member again. Honestly, I see a lot of issues with the car. But nothing I haven't familiarized myself with from my Raven days. Beyond the E9, the seller and I have a few other things in common including badge runs and the fact that we both found a use for lacewood. Here's a guitar I built back in 1995. These photos were taken last year when I re-fretted it.

Very cool on the cars and guitars commonalties! That helps a lot! I love my Martin D-18 with the K&K pickups under the bridge, great for Open Mic! Happy driving and strumming! :)

I guess I needed to step away in order to remind myself where I belong. If you love something, let it go...
I also needed to get Amy's support - she is on board. :)

Because some of you don't have the same username, wasn't sure whether autokunst and BMWnyguy are here battling it out...hoping someone from here wins
