This seems like it would be a very good daily driver until a complete restoration is possible.
I am sure it was not found because he posted it in the Porshe section mistakenly.
As I am not quite ready to make a purchase maybe someone here can sneak in and get it.
I emailed the dealer and received additional information currently not on ad:
Thank you for your interest in the BMW. The trunk looks great, but there is some metal ?scaling? which has been deleterious previously. It has been stopped with rust inhibitor, it has been primed and epoxied and now painted. It looks great, it is not full of ?bondo? and no metal has replaced it.
It is a manual 4 spd. Old cars don?t often show up on ?Car-Fax? type sites.
Some of the floor panels were repainted as you note. It still needs rocker replacement.

Also, as I am a newbie it would be good to understand what the value of this vehicle might be. I think if I had room for this car right now I would seriously consider a bid.

generally Washington state is not a good place to buy a coupe from. The interior doesn't look too bad but the fotos don't really have good resolution. looks like the wood needs redoing. $7 or $8K is max I would go on this as there is a lot of stuff hiding.

Agree

Agree with previous note and the 7-8K. Wonder what he means by "low reserve" Looks like some scarey rust hiding (and showing) on both front fenders.

Answers to questions are a bit evasive (this puts me off). A/C - all parts are present and hooked up, but not sure if it blows cold. How long does it take to tell if my A/C blows cold - less than 5 minutes.

Now if it has both red screwdrivers that changes everything.
