1972 2800 Air intake Sensor repair or replace

Can this Air intake sensor be repaired of replaced? I know on other threads about painting the Air intake it has been suggested just gluing open the intake/ closing the exhaust manifold which I will do if repair or replacement is not an option. When I head and cool this sensor it move a very small amount but not enough to open the valve

You might want to talk to Wes Ingram in WA state He is a big Alfa guy but does a lot of the 2002 tii inj pumps He rebuilds the Spica thermo coupling that is similar to these for the Alfa FI system Don't know but maybe

You truly don’t need this part, it was an attempt to warm the air quicker for emissions reasons. If you lived in Alaska it might (?) make a difference.
