I agree Scott. I was a bit shocked.

But we are still in tumultuous times in the classic car market.

Just seemed like the bidders were not there.

i could see that the red interior with the riviera might not have been everybody's cup of tea ... but the riviera is just gorgeous. for a couple of grand, you could change the interior color ... or in my case, i could have put the blue interior that is sitting in my wine room into the car and just buy carpet. the red interior, which is really well done, could be sold to fund the replacement. it would look great in a white or a black car or even a polaris car. Todd, you are correct though, the bidders just weren't anywhere near the room. i threw out a very hopeful bid, that i figured wouldn't be enough ... but the car coaxed me into trying. if had come to me for that price, i would have been thrilled. i was just surprised that it was only topped by 500 bucks. i was on a conference call and was really surprised when the email popped up with RNM.

Chris, as usual, you ran a great auction with a wonderful car. i really thought this car would get to 125k+

Yes, I was watching this too and was SHOCKED it only made it to $90,500. It's a better car than others that went for $125K recently!

I've noticed a big drop in the collector car market on the whole recently, it was already down, but seems to be hitting new lows as the stock market keeps hitting 52-week highs, kind of unusual. Not only in stocks but in Bitcoin and PM's too. Interest rates have been falling, dollar falling...

High season for the cars too. Either a lot of RNM or people selling way below what I believe to be a standard market value. Head scratcher for sure. Good time to be a buyer I guess if seller willing to let them go...
