1972 chamonix 3.0csi on BaT

I don't believe it gets "Grandfathered in." Even the guy that bought my Bavaria had to go through a bunch of hoops to get this Federalized Sticker on the Bav (a Bav that never left CA), but only for one year when I moved to ID. That was never the case before (getting the Federalized Sticker).

I'm waiting for someone on here from CA that has tried to register a CSI in the last two years or so, there has to be somebody with current first hand knowledge on this site.

And I'm talking about going through the CA DMV, not having to set up a Montana LLC and not already in the CA DMV system (coming from overseas or out of state). Even if previously registered in CA, but then re-registered out of state, bringing it back in I think will still be a problem, but even a bigger problem than the Bavaria because of the "grey market" status of the CSI.

@teahead, you may call your CSI a "turd" but hey, it is still Fjord.
 
One of the recent CSi's on BaT was recently sold with CA registration when it previously had been registered in Montana and Ohio... Would have liked to see exactly how that happened....

I’ll be treading through this scenario with a recently purchased csi. Believe it has been off the road and tucked away in a warehouse since 1989 due to rear collision damage. I will be going through AAA for DMV services.
