1600veloce out of New York.

Curious as to what this brings as a no-reserve auction. Should be a pretty good marker for the $$ a higher end car can bring in the market today....

Lots of small issues that tend to add up: fuel line routing under driver floor, 2800CS tach w/6200 redline, 3.45 diff instead of correct 3.25, black armrest trim pieces and headrest bar, missing door seals, porthole repairs to the floor, paint issues and cracks, lack of motor detailing, rear bumper hump in the middle, etc. Underside is very clean though and $25K spent to get it running and driving properly which bidders don’t factor into their bids. I see this one as comparable to the one that just sold but sellers reputation will achieve a higher sale price.
 
Wow, that shot up! @HB Chris As someone with a car that looks essentially like this one in terms of color scheme, model year, Euro CSi, etc, what should the trim pieces be? Mine are black exactly as you mentioned - armrest, headrest, etc. I’ve seen replacements advertised in blue or tan but no red - was that the original option which now is NLA?
 
I feel like we’ve seen this car before but likely because it’s been all over social media.

Armrests and headrest bar are the same as the rest of the interior, if car is red then it is red.
 
$25,538.10 must have been the limit that could be spent on the repairs,'cause they couldn't afford the $10 extra for the buffers on the door latches- pic 152.
Note pics 262 & 266 show the rubber on the ends of the front bumper should be in the ends of the lower front valance.
Looks like no over-the-shoulder seat belts.

Just personal opinion here,… I’ve noted before, I’m not a fan of red leather interiors. To be more specific, it really depends on the shade of red. It’s the bright, loud, shiny reds that don’t appeal to me (like the red interior of this car). However, Polaris Silver, combined with a rich burgundy red, or an Ox Blood red,..I’d like. Below is an example of what I mean, with an Astral Silver MB, combined with a rich red.

Again, just personal opinion - To each their own.

why would somebody put 195/60-14 tires on a coupe? that is a pretty red interior. red has to be the right color for me. if its with chamonix, almost any red will work ... polaris, i prefer the color above, but with charcoal carpet

The Red inside the car listed, almost glows.

Agree on the charcoal carpet.

If the entire interior is red, my mind goes immediately to the elevator scene, in The Shining
 
I’m with you guys regarding the red. I also think that it shows up somewhat differently on digital camera photos than in person. Mine looks dark red in person, like the old oxblood Doc Marten boots I remember buying in Boston back in 1989. The photos of that same car on BaT - a bit more zingy. I suspect that this one is even more red than that, but I think the general contrast enhancement that most cameras have on by default overemphasizes it.
Here’s a picture I just went out and shot with my iPhone. First is just as the camera recorded it. This is just in the garage, not great lighting, etc but it serves the purpose. Second photo is my adjustments to get what is on the screen to match what I am seeing in real life. Not WILDLY different, but definitely a change. I feel like reds look worse on pictures, blues also tend to misrepresent, tan looks more creamy than in person, etc.

@sfdon has a lovely Polaris coupe with a Rolls Royce red (almost Burgundy) interior. Very tasteful and good reference point on the silver/red options. :)
 
It’s a shame that the mechanic that put the engine bay together didn’t have another Csi to look at. Missing brackets missing hose clamps wrong hardware missing rubber boots. It’s a long list..
I don’t know how you ask for top money and you put out a dirty engine with rusty throttle body parts.
That oil pan definitely puts a tear in my eye looking at it.
The wrong bolts for the bottom of the struts and no safety wire? As Chris mentioned- the fuel line? You couldn’t register this car in Germany.
I have looked and looked at the fuel pump area- no idea what is going on there..
Fuel filters go under the battery tray- not next to the differential..

Nice looking car- needs some sorting.

The strut is bended (pushed) under the battery tray
