1972 E3 2500 Bare Metal Respray

People keep saying that the classic car industry is dying !!!
This shop would appear to be ignoring this !. (and they are now taking bookings for 2027)

Question about the metal prep: it appears you've jumped straight from bare, ungalvanized metal to epoxy primer? Did you have the frame dipped for rust prevention (the way that many 50's and 60's cars are treated), or does the epoxy primer provide the rust prevention because it fully seals the bare metal?

I'd be curious to know details of the epoxy primer - I need to get educated....
 
The epoxy primer is there to prevent flash corrosion of the bare steel. It does not absorb moisture therefore effectively seals the bare metal from the environment. The paint system they use is by Novol who specifically design paint systems for classic cars.
