Trying to see what my options are to replace the fly wheel on my Bavaria. Unfortunately the starting ring gear is developing flat spots. The M30B30 is paired with the original BW 65 three speed auto transmission.

Real oem calls for part number

11221253633

It’s then superseded by

11221262617

Looks like finding a new one or good used one can be complicated. Anybody deal with the issue of replacement and have any pointers.

I’ve attached a photo of the original flywheel with measurements

If you are set on souring a used or new one try contacting TomHom from the forum or LaJolla Indep down in San Diego.

Thanks for reaching out, I’ve had a couple guys from the e9 side who might have what I’m looking for. La jolla is always a great source though!

Ooops should have read it better, you have an auto ring gear is part of the flex plate
What about a flex plate from a 530, 533, 535 or 6 or 7 series
I have a fellow down in California who’s going to get me set up. I understand you snagged the carburetors he had before I could eh!

So you were the other fellow Yes I like to overhaul / restore these Once all the hardware gets plated and vapor blasting the carbs, they look pretty nice I really know these carbs inside out I don't know what everyone's problem with them is, once I have gone through them and set them up, they run very well
Going to the BMW car club meet later this year? in Richmond? Would like to see your car, looks nice from the pics

Thanks, Rick
