Looking at another BAT car.
This car is pretty scary. Don't ask me how I know.

Dennis always has a lot to say.

I agree. Lovely from 100 yards, scary from 10 feet.

I question the opening comment about having been imported by Hoffman. Certainly looks like a Euro car to me. I didn't think Hoffman imported any '73 or later cars with wind up front windows. Most Euro cars had only rear electric windows. Also, bumpers are not '73 US bumpers. My vote is for an import as a used car, maybe in the late '70's, when importing was much easier and cheaper.

There are some pretty negative comments so far, and they look justified to me.

It has a mph speedo and a fasten seatbelt warning light on the dash.

Wouldn’t those be US only?

According to my factory parts book, 224XXXX cars are listed as 3.0CS/USA. If it had been delivered outside North America, the VIN would begin with 221.

All North American delivery coupes received the US model with the DOT/EPA stickers. Even coupes to areas other the Europe most likely received the NA market configuration. Not everyone ordered the same options that Hoffman did, hence many Canadian coupes have vinyl interiors and manual windows and may not have A/C.

I’m the 2nd highest bidder. Highest bidder possibly dropping out. Should I go for it?

You're looking at spending at least the purchase price of the car on rust repair/paintwork. Remember-The rust doesn't stay as you see it in the photos, and there is probably this much more rust that is not in the photos.
