This one will be fun to watch! :)

yes, another oldenzaal resto + LHD conversion. they also put a/c in it. so if you want a CSL to drive in comfort and not worry about value or what you do to it ... this is the car for you. (MAYBE). how good is the conversion? minor error in the description - 15" alpinas? tires show that they are 16's

unless there is a Canadian who really wants it, I predict RNM. I think the seller has far more in it than the current market will support.
Plus 15 percent tariff really hurts. If there are two Canadians who really want it and will bid it up, then maybe it will do well. But I doubt that.

Scott, I agree and Legendary really doesn’t know our coupes. And they aren’t answering questions such as: are the door skins aluminum, need more interior pics like doors, spare tire well, etc.

I've seen this car in person when it was at Oldenzaal around 2022 /2023.

I then learned that my own work was far superior compared to this csl. Which somewhere made me happy.
It was for sale at 300k euro at that time.

I was most shocked by the fenders. When you open the hood, you see this rain gutter on the sides. Normally the fender is spotwelded to the connection piece that runs front to back. On this car, on both the left and right side, the seams were fully mig or tig welded front to back, creating a 4 foot long weld. With blobs, craters, missing pieces where the heat was too much ( or the metal to thin) so the weld 'drops down'. See pic.

This makes me wonder how well the welds are under the fenders. Thus, that leaves a 50k question. And it's unknown (to me) if the panels are true csl thin gauge.

I sat in it. Grinned like a little kid.
Still, If i had a 100k to spend, or 300k, my originality OCD wouldn't allow me to buy it.

Everything is wrong in this picture. And I question the ethics of anybody that would install a brake fluid reservoir without the wiring or correct cap to alert to low brake fluid. It is a basic safety issue.

And a very unique bleeder “screw”….

In yellow zinc.. is correct.

And Belmetric doesn’t offer yellow.

Surprised on the end result here, mainly that I would have figured that it had a reserve above that sale price. I guess also could point to some softening in the market over the last few months between this outcome and the Malaga E9 that didn’t meet reserve last month.

My US centric view of this auction is as follows:

A) My observation of (Porsche) pricing of Canadian cars is that they seem to be about 15-20% +/- lower than in the US.

B) The car being in Canada creates an "unknown" for some buyers, including myself. Therefore, private bidders are fewer.

C) $136,000 plus $7500 BAT fees + 15% + Border crossing/paperwork is approximately $165,000 to $170,000

D) Even though the seller stated "...It was done by the best BMW E9 Specialists in the world and looks completely OEM...", this was a highly modified and reworked car. Having received "great work" of others, I would be extremely skeptical.

E) Finally, I read the comments from the experts on this forum and lots of issues are highlighted.

In conclusion, I am sure that the seller has made their profit. The buyer appears to be another car dealer which will flip to a buyer and the show goes on! ;)
