Hello all
what is the general opinion of the Fjord blue Italian delivery Euro CSi at San Francisco Sports cars?
I talked with the owner and he restored it save for rebuilding the engine.
He changed all the gaskets and seals.
Thoughts?
thanks

I haven't seen it myself, but Brad usually only keeps nice cars there. It's rare to see scruffy or questionable cars in his showroom.

I used to work on my coupe at the shop right behind SFS, so I'm very familiar with their operation.

If it's in his shop, it's worth checking out in my opinion.

The owner sent me photos of the resto and all looks good.
He didn't replace the wiring harness.
With the engine out at 60K miles, why not do a fresh rebuild?
He didn't.
They are asking full resto price for only a nice partial.

That's just how the market is nowadays. If you want something done right.....you must take it on yourself.

When I was searching for Coupes, the drivetrain wasn't as important to me. The M30 is a 300k mile engine, and it's cheap to rebuild it. Body work and trim is where the real money is hidden in a coupe.

I looked at it the other day.
And I have the previous car from that same seller in my shop right now.
Bogdan does very nice work.

For $100 grand it better be perfect inside and out, including the engine. Coupes are nice but that's a steep price.

I would expect for $100k for a non-CSL, for that car to be a "frame-up", rotisserie restoration, car dipped in acid, galvanized, etc. to get rid of all rust that you can't see, and a built motor w/hardened valve seats for modern fuels.
