My first post….& I wish I was in the market, but looks like a solid deal.

I’m not a fan of the modern radio and wish they kept the original seat trim / pattern but It’s worth an inquiry and a look in person.

Im 36 years old & just recently fell in love with the E9. I have no nostalgic ties to this car, but I think it’s one of the most handsome BMWs I’ve ever seen (inside & out) I’m still very much a newbie but I know I will get one of these 1 day! This has become my new “dream” car . I love my elder BMWS, but the oldest in my BMW collection currently is a 2001 M3 in Phoenix Yellow so I’ve got quite a ways to go in reverse.

Plumbing nightmare? whoever put it together didn't understand cooling or timing.

And the Orange fuel rail?

So, it has been for sale for quite some time as I expected (by BMWliebe's first post here Sept. 6th 2024 and was probably on there before he posted) and I didn't think that was a CSL motor . Because they mentioned "CSL" a couple times, it wasn't a typo.

Still curious why it has sat for so long at that price? And does that look like Riviera to you guys?

Riviera is a beautiful non-metallic (rare color). not many of them around - i have only heard of 5 still in existence. NOPE, not a CSL or anything related to a CSL

I have been wondering the same thing. It been for sale forever at a seemingly lowish price. The seats and steering wheel are clearly from a later car, and it is not a CSL motor. But its been sitting there forever with no takers.....

This one looks like it has metallic in the paint. You are correct, Riviera is not a metallic color. I had a true Riviera early 2002, granted the paint was fading a bit but original, I don't recall it being this blue. I thought it had more green in it. Anyways, it is always tough for me with certain colors as I am slightly colorblind (I am told). Especially with subtle changes. But still see color, just differently than others in certain hues I guess, it's kind of a weird "handicap."
