Why is there both? Wouldn't one just have either or?
Would this require a cover plates/plugs over the old body mounted light locations? Or is there a different center panel that would coordinate with the bumper mounted lights?Have you given thought to keeping the bumper lights and ditching the body mounted lights? Personally, I like the bumper lights better.
Yes it's defo an option - but I'd like to have both just to keep her "original" - plus - with 4 lights the Po-leese at least have a chance of getting my tag as I evade them (lol) (and jk, BobHi Tomm,

Nobody seems to be able to find them. I was looking on 2002FAQ and they too are searching.those license plate lights were used on e21 / e12 / e23 and e24 (i believe) ... so they aren't exactly rare.

I just found a pair on Ebay today for $150 - may just bite the bullet. Thx Markos!
Likely what happened is the car got hit on the rear in its life and the bumper that was put on was not a 1973.
