1974 Fjord coupe 4 speed w/3.3L on BAT (NMNA)

Hate to admit it, but I'm a little unsure on this one. Is it a 74 or not.? I thought all 74s had the additional structure/support pieces on each side of the trunk area.

I'm pretty sure the braces were not added to the Euro models. From the FAQ on changes to the U.S./NA market E9 over the years (as compiled by HB Chris):

Changes from 73 to 74 3.0CS US/NA market specific

Exterior Changes

  • US/NA market coupes get a 5 mph shock absorbing bumper, front frame rail wider and long supports added inside trunk with longer plastic elephant skin covers

I bought this car and the owner claims it's a 73, even though it's titled as a 74. Late 73 as some of guys on BaT pointed out. Car came from France. I'm extremely happy with it!

Glad to see you join us here. You will find a lot of information and resources here to support you with whatever goals you will have for your new coupe.

it is NOT a '74 with a 221xxxx VIN number. 74 models (9/73 build) start with a 4xxxxxx across the range. the base euro CS is 430xxxx and the CSA is 432xxxx / the base USA CS is 431xxxx and the CSA is 4335xxx

I was hanging out with Carl Nelson for a few hours yesterday at his shop and after seeing the car in person, he was saying May or June of 73.
