1983 633csi bring a trailer

A friend of mine in Seattle picked up a 4 speed '79 733i for $150 off of Craig's List. Needed brakes and other bits and he's got 10x that in it now. I drove it last weekend and it's got pretty good scoot. Point is, if you just want the engine, they are available pretty cheap if you look around. Yes, getting all the FI stuff along with it is very helpful and generally cheaper in the long run. Copart.com or IAAI.com are fun to search and there are any number of parts searches online for parts cars.

I'm keeping my car stock, but I am tempted to find an M90 for the day when my engine goes pop. So I keep looking, but I won't spend a lot for it.

After a certain point (1988 IIRC?) the mounting points on the block were changed and you'll have to get (CNPR makes them among others) or fabricate engine mounts. But from what I've read it's not a big deal for a competent welder.
