1985 BMW 635CSi 5 SPEED! GREAT CS POWERTRAIN?

THE OVERVIEW
Offered for an appreciating new owner is this rare classic 1985 BMW 635CSi E24-chassis "shark". Great car OR SUPERB 3.5 LITER ENGINE AND 5 SPEED TRANSMISSION FOR A CS TRANSPLANT! Finished in what looks to be all or mostly original Bahamabeige metallic over camel leather interior, this rare 5 SPEED manual transmission example has been driven something over 312,000 miles in the last 25 years. This 99.9% rust-free ALWAYS CALIFORNIA CAR sports a SUPERB-RUNNING rebuilt 3.5 liter inline six cylinder engine mated to the smooth shifting 5 speed transmission. It sports electric windows, TWO sets of wheels and tires [rare and desireable 16" gold center BBS RS wheels with excellent rubber and 14" BMW factory bottle cap alloy wheels with fair tires] TWO sets of front seats [the factory electric Recaros AND the factory "comfort" seats] and is being sold with clear and clean California title [in my name] with current registration and all fees paid up to date. This is a cool classic BMW coupe offered here with low buy-it-now and low reserve for FAR LESS THAN THE COST OF THE SALES TAX ALONE ON A NEWER 6 SERIES!

THE BODY AND TRIM
The body and trim of this 1985 BMW 635CSi are in quite good virtually perfectly rust-free condition overall. There is considerable sun fading on the front hood, the front spoiler is a little tweaked/cracked with one inop fog lamp. The gold BBS wheels have some fading and missing two center caps. The tires are in excellent condition. The 14" bottle cap wheels have fair tires only. The spre tire is in the trunk but the tools are awol.

THE INTERIOR
The interior of this classic BMW is in decent original condition overall with BOTH the factory sport seats as well as the extra pair of comfort seats. The sport seats are tattered with broken mounting. They keep blowing a fuse as well. The dash has some cracking, the headliner and door panels have some sun bleaching/staining, the carpets are original, the a/c is not blowing cold, all of the windows work well as does the sunroof in both tilt and sliding modes. The classic Blaupunkt stereo powers up but seems like a loose connection. The speedometer is inop.

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This BMW starts and runs VERY WELL! The engine is smooth and powerful with a nice exhaust growl. It has been rebuilt at some point and runs VERY smoothly! The transmission shifts well and smooth, the steering feel is excellent. The braking is strong and straight and the suspension feels very good with no clunks or rattles. The rear differential is noisy/whiny. I have not yet checked into a fluid flush.
