Anyone got an opinion on the first one in Delaware? That's about an hour away from me and I'm really considering at least getting up there for a look and test drive.

Two ebay coupes

Hard to comment on the Delaware car without engine/fender shots. Interesting that neither of these two even mention rust (the first question any potential e9 owner is going to ask). I also am amused when the engine shots seem to intentionally not include the fender seams - I guess to get that close-up of the webers. Still, if it is one hour away and you want an auto tranny, might be worth a look after the owner sends you more pics.

One with Webers has been seriously rusty in the past

quite a few areas show telltale signs of a sand-blast and quick repaint without bothering to skim coat. "Restoration" is one of the most abused terms in the old car arena ("mint" and "superb" are probably #1 and #2).

I got a few more photos from the Delaware car. No still no engine shot, though.

As much as I want one and as close as it is, I think I might pass. The starting bid is $10K and I'm sure the reserve will probably be as close at the $18,500 buy it now price.
