On the surface, looks like a nice example.
I always liked these.
The headlights have grown on me since when I first was aware of these cars.

I've looked over all the pictures and think this is certainly one of the best 2000CSs I've seen. Someone is going to get a beautiful car when this auction is over. Caribe with red interior... must be a rare combination. The maintenance records really seal the deal. I love my Granada 2000CS, but I think this one is simply gorgeous.

The Kidney grill on the 2000CS is correctly chrome, vertical, perfectly proportioned, eternally lovely. Unlike the black, obscene, gaping yaws of the current cookie cutter line. If I had the money and was 25 years younger I would have bid to $80,000 and probably beyond.

I agree Zinz, I too would hope the reserve was much higher!

$52,000 didn't make reserve. I would hope not; though I realize these don't get the love like the e9 and they never will. Still, this one was amazing.

I love these and have always wanted a clone of Fran’s F’s CS. This one looks great but I suspect the vinyl interior, so-sopaint job and corrosion in body panel seams may have kept bids down.

Hello fellow e9 owners and fans. I am pleased to announce that the seller and I reached a mutually agreeable number and the 2000CS now resides next to our 3.0CS and euro 3.0CSI.
Truly a lovely car and the descriptions were understated!
Cheers!

Ed, wow indeed, your 2000CS is stunning!! You on the west coast? There is a lovely silver 2000CS in Portland. We could almost have a rally :) Cheers!

Thanks, Ted. Lots of blood, sweat, and tears in that car. Complete tear down and resto about 7 years ago. Me and @BarneyT did everything but spray the paint and stitch the vinyl.

Unfortunately, I’m in the central Texas, Austin area. Perhaps some day I’ll get it out the the west coast for a long driving vacation.

Hey Ted,
Great addition to your collection! I've seen a really nice silver 2000C (automatic) at Oregon BMWCCA Cars&Coffee.

The next C&C is Sunday 4/13 at the new BMW of Tigard. Hope to see you (and good weather) there.

We need a vintage BMW event in the PNW. I'm working on it. Currently scouting locations in the Willamette Valey.
Hope to have details soon.

Cheers
