2000CS tune up parts

A local mechanic who actually knows what he is doing is going to tune my 67 2000CS and recommended that I pick up new plug wires, a high voltage coil, new points, rotor etc. Any suggestions?

You should buy these parts according to engine type and induction method. If you have an m10, then probably e10 2002 parts will work. But if you have the factory dual carb setup, then e10 2002ti parts is what you need.

I am by no means an expert and others with more info should chime in...
This is just my educated opinion/guess.

plug wires from Kingsbourne, and igniton parts made in Germany if possible, I think Beru is the only one left. Does your car have a ballast resistor? If so then a stock black Bosch coil with the (1.0 ohm??) resistor or a red Bosch coil with a 1.8 ohm resistor.
