Hi, I'm not new to this forum, but just bought a 1967 2000CS. It's still in transit. I have some really cool 3 piece 15 inch Hardy& Beck wheels, that will go on the car. For now I photoshopped them on, and like it a lot.
I will report back once I have the car in possession.

Thanks Jay. And yes, of course I will keep any original parts. I won't make any irreversible changes anyway.
I see that you live in San Juan Capistrano, I assume you know Rey Rivera? We know each other fairly well, and he once bought a car from me - that he still owns - a black 1982 E21 320iS, that I turbo charged, installed Euro bumpers and Alpina wheels.

Yes, Rey is a part of the active community of vintage BMW owners here in southern California. And you are in Auburn, huh? My inlaws (now both gone) retired from New York to Lake of the Pines, so I used to travel there with some regularity in the aughts and teens.

My point on the original wheels is that the day may come when you slap yourself on the forehead and say "Wow, now I get what those designers in Munich were thinking back in the 1960's".

Yeah they should look great. Not exactly period correct, but they resemble the old Alpina 3 piece racing wheels, which were used in the early 70s. So I'm not far off...
