The C-tubes are mentioned in this thread as being a bolt-on upgrade to an M30 engine to deliver the torque earlier in the rpm range, making for more grunt during acceleration.

So, i opted to source them for my m90 build, as they give thesame benefit as when fitted to an m30.
While searching for 6, i kept finding seperate parts, ending up with 13.
I cleaned them all in an ultrasonic bath, and had them professionally glassbead blasted and Cerakoted in a transparent color.
They are just wonderfully smooth, while retaining that fresh aluminium look, with a very light gloss on it.
As they are from 4 cilinder cars, date matching them is a bit difficult, but for non std parts that's a bit funny anyway. They are mixed castings: 3 are 5'72 and 1 Jan'74 2 are 4'74

So, a little update on this one. KHB very kindly sent me the E21 320i intake runners that he found in his local junk yard (thanks Kevin!), so I decided to do a little comparison. I was curious about the equivalent 2002tii parts and how they compared, and the results are pretty interesting. As you can see below, the 2002tii and 320i are identical in size, shape and profile. The only difference is that the 320i items have extra ribs cast in. When compared to the standard L Jet tube, you can see just how much bigger they are. So, from left to right, here are the E21, 2002tii and 3.0Si tubes...
