2026 Bavarian 2002 fest with the BMW Classic Club

We are having a big time with new and old friends in Germany this week, we are on a 30 day adventure across Europe in our just completed 2002tii Baur Targa.

If I read this thread correctly (I'm on my first cup of coffee), it appears that several individuals from the US shipped cars to Europe to participate in this event?

Could one of those people provide a short summary of the process? (Ex, how did you ship your car? How far in advance? etc)

Reading this thread added something to my bucket list. I'm 55, but I'd like to check this one off before I'm 65. Very intriguing...

The Bavarian 2002 fest is held every five years, the BMW Classic club set up the trip. Seven members shipped our cars over to attend. Only cars allowed to attend are 2002s/E3s/E9. You should join the Classic club for more information, you have five years to get ready.

This was our second time to attend, in both of our 2002 Baurs…five years ago we made a six week tour of Europe out of the shipping the car over, this time we are leaving the baur here for a year and having three separate 30 days tours out of shipping the car over…
