Who knows about this one? I couldn’t find it in the registry. The VIN is on the Gooding site.

Bummed to miss Car Week this year, but I’ll be back again in 2026.

And incorrect chin and some wobbly body lines… would like to see some detail shots on this one. Rare bird.

That’s it- some serious paint runs on that vin shot! She needs some love but it’s a carb lightweight in a great color.

Owned by Steve Adler, he owns the Auto Kennel compound in Costa Mesa. Has a pretty big collection. I worked on it as well as Terry Conners, don’t know why he switched out the kidney. Formerly owned by Lorenzo and Peter Gleeson, it should be in Scott’s listing. Don’t look at the profile and offset character lines!

Yep - I bought from the Bonhams Munich auction in 2011 (also bought the 507 boat in the same auction) where Lorenzo had put it for sale, with all intentions to do a restoration, but keeping as much original as possible. It was a great car and I was mixed about how much to restore it and how much to leave alone.

I was driven crazy by a friend to sell before I restored, including offering me an above-market price in those days. I had already acquired a much better early Carb car, which needed nothing - still have that car.

So I sold it without doing anything to it, a guy called Victor owned it for a while and then Steve acquired it and Chris and Terry have done much of the sympathetic stuff required, without a full resto.

Like you Chris, I don't know where that Kidney grill has come from.

So excited to be going to speed week this year! My buddies and I have rented camping spots near the water by Carmel. One of my buddies has a Scout camper in the back of his truck, my other friend has a tent camper, and I'm renting an 18 foot camper that I'm pulling with our Jeep Wangler.
