Pirelli do now make the 225/45R16 P700-Z

It is a cool tyre, and it is also a BMW tyre. it was OE on the E30 M3 and the Z1, but it just isn't suited to your car. I'm probably going to get shouted down for this, but you can actually buy a proper 195/70VR14 again now, because Pirelli have made the CN36 again. that is the best road tyre for your cars presently.
If its a fashion thing, then i get it, big wheels do look cool. As long as people are aware of the derogatory effect on ride and handling of a shallower side wall when they make the decision to fit lower profile tyres.
