2275458 1st Series Batmobile restoration

This 1st series Bat sat untouched since 1991 and is now in Philadelphia with its new owner. Here’s a short synopsis. I was approached by an individual who is a friend of @Ski coach asking whether the chance of finding a Batmobile, ideally restored.
To make a long story shorter, I located #2275458. The previous owner had started a comprehensive restoration in 1991 but only got to the, taking apart stage.
So, here are some pics from start to finish. Took a bit over 2 yrs to do inspite of COVID.

Along with the majority of the body, new frame rails were also replaced which didn’t have the predrilled slots (old ones were dented), and only after the body was welded together on the gig did we take it back to the shop and do all the ‘prep’ (slots, multitude holes for all the external and internal components) before it went back for the pain’t job.

Thank you Scott, he sure got way more than he ever expected. Im sure there are some spectacular Bats out there like @BMW Pete has, this one is not too far behind! And the registration in Maryland went without a hitch so it’s now legally driving around in Phili.
