Hi guys :)

I am restoring my 1970 2800 cs and want to share it with you guys!
The prosject is in the Norwegian BMW forum and unfortunately I dont have time to have 2 forum threads...

If you would like to follow to prosject, you can do this on facebook.
I write all the updates in english.

Interesting and simple way to stabilize and move the car using the rims like that. I never would have thought of it.

Looks to me like a base form an old office chair and an adjustable height brake job chair at the rear holding the rims up to see how he feels they will look best (a stance check so to speak). Okay, just my best guess…………. but I can’t imagine the car moving on only 2 rollers.

I’m not even crazy about jack stands with tri-point foot print (I much prefer the stability of a rectangular foot print) but those certainly look more substantial than those 3-point stands that Sears has sold for years. ~ John Buchtenkirch

Hi guys!

Thanks for the kind words.

I took my spare fender and made it wider, to se how this looks on the car.
What is your thoughts regarding wider fenders?

I must say i like the look, maybe this is a bit overkill. but i am considering make the fenders just a bit wider. keep in mind this is only a quick test, and the result Wil be better on the car.

I like it, as long as you can do it quite subtle so it's in keeping with the original as much as possible, and it will stop all the fender to wheel rubbing you get when lowering the e9

I have not decided yet. I like the thoughts to be able to have wider tires and mor grip :) Thanks for your input!
