2800 engine W/ Hot Cam and Pistons and Parts For Sale
I just acquired this 71' 2800 engine, was rebuilt 20,k miles ago, (with 80,k) with BMW "Piano Top" Pistons, (std), not the flat top pistons it originally had, and a "Weber" Cam shaft. The seller couldn't remember the lift or duration, but said the car had substantially more power. 3,k miles ago it blew a head-gasket, when it overheated, so the head was redone again then. There are some #'s on the cam, (rear)1250057 and (front) 803C, or could be 603C, (pictured), also pictured are the cam lobes, they look large to me? I will first offer this engine complete, (Long Block), The head should be excellent, but I would re-ring the block.if it doesn't sell whole, I will Part it out. I know this Hi Po. cam is valuable, (when I needed one, I could find one). I don't know if it is reground, or? He didn't say anything about turning his original cam in.
