2800 Strut Housing query

I'm assisting a Forum member with a 2800 E9 he's bought . From realoem, it seems the strut housing part number is common to all E9's ?....is it simply a case of installing the brake caliper conversion kit from Walloths to bring that part of front assembly up to 3.0 CS spec ? Thanks, Simon
