2800CS Boot/trunk lock

HELP!!!!
I have a problem with the boot lock. It did work, I have the key but I now can't get it open. The key turns but does not seem to activate the mechanism. My problem is after a 2 year refurbish the car is ready to go into the workshop to get it running etc. I need to open the boot. No locksmiths can help and I have tried everything bar drilling it out. W&H do have replacement barrells and keys so that is an option. Any ideas from fellow owners? It is frustrating after coming so far. Based in Melbourne Australia.

Might be able to access through the fuel door and flip the latch mechanism somehow? One upside to a ‘74+ is you could probably drop the tank from below to get in and open it.

Help: trunk will not unlock

I'm out at a show and of course I have all my goodies in the trunk and can't open it. The lock rotates fine by in both positions, horizontal and vertical, the button just pushes freely w no resistance as when the trunk is locked. Any ideas...?
