Looks like Ed Ricci’s Coupe which sold 1 1/2 years ago after he passed away is for sale again.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-BMW-2800CS/332468027382?hash=item4d68a37ff6:g:KgoAAOSw3WxaHi9v&vxp=mtr

It appears it has new leather seats which is a shame as they have seams on the side bolsters and the originals were pigskin. This coupe had minor paint issues along the belt trim but was in nice shape overall, OCCoupe and I advised his son on what a correct price was at that time, he thought we were way too low. It sold at our suggested price one month later.

Let me guess...it sold for...$35k?

Of course, prices have gone up some, so I can see the reserve at around $45k. Love the drivetrain. Actually, love the whole car!

Is the seam sealer correctly applied on there? Seems a bit excessive.

I think Ed Paid $34,500 in Jan 2014, he passed away Jan 2016, sold a few months later for $55K. Private sales are usually higher than what some believe our coupes are worth, don’t trust just eBay.

I think Hayes "hplug" was selling this car back in Oct 2013. https://www.e9coupe.com/forum/threads/1970-2800cs-ready-to-roll.14950/

Not sure if it's the same but it sure looks like it. The car was in Colorado at the time. Also , the car was Agave originally. Either way, a very nice car especially for the price at that time. I almost bought this car but went with another 2800cs which I'm thrilled with so it all worked out well. If someone were to look at this car, assuming it is the same car, I would get the compression checked again. The numbers measured low but may not have been measured correctly.
